Matt Smith assists clients through the entire financial planning process, helping them with all aspects of planning for their short- and long-term goals. He believes that understanding their needs and wishes begins with carefully listening to what they have to say. He is passionate about helping clients make progress toward the milestones in their lives.

It was this passion that drew Matt to a career in financial services in the first place. After attending Towson University, he joined Raymond James and the Fusco Financial Associates team in 2021, impressed by the care and attention they give to each client.

When Matt is not in the office or meeting with clients, he enjoys volunteering with the Back River Restoration Committee, helping with their efforts to clean the Back River watershed.

Matt is originally from Bel Air, Maryland, and today lives in Ellicott City, Maryland. In his free time, he enjoys climbing, skiing and crabbing. Sports play a large role in Matt’s life as well and he can always be found cheering on his Baltimore Ravens and Washington Capitals. He is also devoted to trying to improve his golf game.
